What we cover
Ten kinds of work, one form.
Not sure which one your project needs? Describe the ground and what you plan to do with it — the contractor will tell you which approach fits.
Forestry Mulching
One machine grinds standing brush and small trees into mulch that stays on the ground as erosion cover.
About forestry mulching →Land Clearing
Full removal of trees, stumps and root mass to leave ground you can build on, farm or develop.
About land clearing →Brush Clearing
Knocking down overgrowth, thorn, vine and scrub to get a property back under control.
About brush clearing →Lot Clearing
Clearing a residential or commercial lot so a build, a driveway or a sale can move forward.
About lot clearing →Stump Grinding and Removal
The stump is a separate job from the clearing, and it is the one most owners find out about afterwards.
About stump grinding →Fence Line Clearing
Clearing the strip along an existing or planned fence so the line can be seen, built and maintained.
About fence line clearing →Pasture Reclamation
Bringing grown-in pasture and hay ground back to a surface that can be mowed, grazed or seeded again.
About pasture reclamation →Trail and Access Clearing
Cutting a usable path through timber for access, recreation or hunting without opening up the canopy.
About trail clearing →Invasive Growth Removal
Clearing the aggressive species that take unmanaged ground here, and being straight about what one pass achieves.
About invasive growth →Storm Damage Cleanup
Getting downed trees and broken limbs off a property after weather, and the ground back to usable.
About storm damage cleanup →How it works
Three steps, and none of them cost you anything.
Tell us about the property
One form. How much ground, what is standing on it, whether stumps have to come out, and what you want the land for. About two minutes.
We turn it into a scope
Your answers become the job written the way a contractor prices it — acreage, stem size, stumps, access and where the material ends up. Not a lead form dressed up as one.
They quote your property
You get the scope and the questions worth asking, so the first conversation with a contractor is a real one and the numbers you get back are comparable.
Why use us
We are not the contractor. That is the point.
Mulching Knoxville is a free matching service for property owners. We are not a forestry mulching or land clearing contractor and we do not perform the work ourselves — we connect you with independent local crews who quote your property directly.
- Free to use, with no obligation to hire anyone.
- The scope is written around the counties we cover in Tennessee — access, terrain and disposal differ by county and the pricing follows.
- The questions we ask are the ones a contractor needs answered to price the job, so the first conversation is a real one.
- We are independent. We do not perform the work, so we have no reason to talk you into a bigger scope than your property needs.
- Your details are never sold on to unrelated marketers, and we take no payment from you at any point.
Common questions
Before you fill anything in.
Is this actually free?
Yes. Requesting a quote costs you nothing and puts you under no obligation to hire anyone. We are paid by contractors for the introduction, not by property owners.
Are you the contractor doing the work?
No. We are an independent matching service. We do not own equipment, employ crews or perform clearing work. We collect the details a contractor needs and connect you with local crews who quote and do the job themselves.
What will it cost to clear my land?
That depends on acreage, how dense the growth is, stem size, terrain, access, whether stumps have to come out and how debris is handled. Anyone quoting a per-acre number before seeing your ground is guessing. The contractor gives you a real figure after looking at the property.
How many contractors will contact me?
Your request comes back scoped so you can compare contractors rather than take the first number offered. If you would rather only hear from one, say so in the notes on the form.
